Where can I get help and advice about using cloth nappies?

Cloth Nappy Nerds offer help and advice in our Facebook Group and also through 1:1 Support Sessions that can be booked here. Whether its how to get started with cloth nappies, how to reset and sanitise preloved reusable nappies or how to make sure you have clean cloth nappies, from fit checks, leak prevention through to washing routine advice. We are here to help.

Why Hire nappies from Cloth Nappy Nerds?

Cloth Nappy Nerds offer a fully insured service. We guarantee the nappies in our hire kits are in useable condition, either brand new or used and sanitised to HSE (health and safety executive) high standards to ensure the safety of your child. All our hire kits (excluding the ultimate hire kits) are fully customisable to meet your needs and preferences, we can also build a hire kit just for you! Simply contact us to arrange. Included with your hire kit is a Getting Started Guide as well as 1:1 support for the duration of your hire either via zoom or messenger. We provide personalised wash routines to fit with your lifestyle and preferences. Ongoing support throughout the hire period and beyond on a 1:1 basis and via our facebook group.

You can choose a hire period that suits you, with standard hire lasting 4 weeks from delivery, if you want to extend your hire please get in touch.

For newborn hire kits simply enter your EDD in the notes field and we will ensure your hire kit is shipped in plenty of time for the birth and the hire period will not start until baby arrives!

As an added bonus, we also provide the opportunity to keep nappies in your hire kit for 20% off RRP if you fall in love with them.

How are the nappies cleaned between hirers?

All nappies are sanitised to HSE (health and safety executive) high standards to ensure the safety of your child. You can find details here on the advice of Public Health England and in line with the requirements of our insurers. All nappies are then freshly laundered using Splosh non-bio unfragranced liquid detergent before being despatched.

Why do you charge a hire fee?

The hire fee supports the running of Cloth Nappy Nerds Hire Kits, from the website and other costs, to replacement of nappies as they show signs of wear, through to laundry costs and growing the nappy library kits.

How do I return the kit?

The kit must be returned in the same mailing bag as it was sent to you in as this forms part of your hire kit. The mailing bags we use are reusable and have a tamperproof seal to the zip. To open the kit you will break this tamper proof seal by pulling the zip. A replacement tamperproof seal is attached to this leaflet. Once you are ready to return the kit, place the clean and fully dry good condition items inside the mailing bag, close with the zip and seal with the tamperproof seal. Attach our return address found at the bottom of the Getting Started guide and then organise return shipping. 

You will need to organise shipping back to us, cost of returning the hire kit is at your expense, you can use any company but this must be tracked and insured post to the value of your deposit amount, as the parcel is your responsibility until it is returned to us. Please retain proof of posting. If you live in or near Doncaster, you can drop them off.
