Contents of hire

You acknowledge that you are aware that the items hired to you in your kit are likely to have been previously used. Hire kits will sometimes contain brand new items which need to be prepped by washing. 

The nappies will arrive in full useable condition, clean and sanitised in line with HSE (health and Safety Executive) guidelines. For more information click here. Nappies may have light bobbling, gentle wear to velcro or light dye transfer, there may be some cosmetic flaws or light staining. 

Contents of your pack will be the same as advertised at the time of booking, we are able to amend the kit if needed, please contact us for a custom order. If anything is to change in this kit we will inform you prior to posting. Please check the contents of your kit are correct (see kit inventory for details), raise any issues within 3 days of delivery.

We can not guarantee which prints you will get.

You will also receive discount codes for Friends of the Cloth Nappy Nerds, which may include stockists and manufacturers.

You may keep any of the items within the kit for a 20% discount and Bells Bumz or Reusabelles items for 30% from RRP. Please contact us to arrange this.

Shipping

A courier or royal mail will be used to deliver the hire kit, a signature will be required.

If a kit is currently available, we will aim to dispatch within 7 working days of purchase, any delays will be communicated.

We will need your home address, not business or PO box, you will be notified of the tracking number by email once shipped.

Returning your kit

The kit must be returned in the same mailing bag as it was sent to you in as this forms part of your hire kit. The mailing bags we use are reusable and have a tamperproof seal to the zip. To open the kit you will break this tamper proof seal by pulling the zip. A replacement tamperproof seal is attached to this leaflet. Once you are ready to return the kit, place the clean and fully dry good condition items inside the mailing bag, close with the zip and seal with the tamperproof seal. Attach our return address found at the bottom of this guide and then organise return shipping. Your hire kit is due to be posted back to us on or before:

You will need to organise shipping back to us, cost of returning the hire kit is at your expense, you can use any company but this must be tracked and insured post to the value of your deposit amount, as the parcel is your responsibility until it is returned to us. Please retain proof of posting. If you live in or near Doncaster, you can drop them off.

If the postmark on the package reads more than 24 hours after the pre agreed end date, you may be charged £5 per late day until the items are returned. If the hire pack is returned late due to the fault of the courier company, you will not be charged. 

All items must be in Good Condition, clean and properly dry before return. Please remove fluff, hair and lint from Velcro. Some light staining is normal and will not affect your deposit being refunded

Hire Period and return of kit

Hire period will start from when you receive the hire pack.

Hire Period will be as selected at checkout.

On return, proof of postage must be dated the pre arranged end date or before.

Deposit

By paying your deposit, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of hire including:​

Washing used nappies at least every 3 days (can be extended to day 4 as long as a 60 degree daily prewash cycle is done)

You agree that you will only wash the nappies as per the written Washing Instructions here. If you are unsure about how best to wash the nappies you will contact us for further advice.

Not to use fabric softeners on the nappies (2 in 1 detergents are fine though)

Not to wash nappies with any dark coloured clothing items

Not to wash nappies over 60 degrees

Not to tumble dry anything with PUL (water resistant layer)

Keep your home smoke free during hire

Inform us of any lost or damaged items as soon as possible

Your deposit is refundable at the end of your hire period given that your kit is returned on-time, in full, and is in 'good condition’.

Any part of the hire kit returned badly damaged or missing, full retail price will be deducted

You may keep any of the items within the kit for a 20% discount and Bells Bumz or Reusabelles items for 30% from RRP. Please contact us to arrange this.​

Refunds

If you change your mind after booking but before the pack is sent out, you will be eligible for a refund less £10 for processing costs.

If you change your mind at any time after the nappies are sent out, but before you use them; deposit will be refunded upon return of the pack. We will retain £20 of hire fee for time and processing costs, decrease in value of the items and loss of business. We will also retain £10 per week that you have had the hire pack. 

If you find any nappy you have received is not in acceptable condition, contact us and we will replace the item once we have received the original back.  

If you have used the nappies, and then decide you don't want to use them anymore, we will not be able to refund the hire price, as the nappies are now in used condition and require deep cleaning and sanitising. But please talk to us about your issues, as we can often help.

'Good condition' of returned items

All items must be clean and properly dry before return. 

Please remove fluff, hair and lint from Velcro.

Some light staining is normal and will not affect your deposit being refunded

Excessive staining, especially dye transfer or things other then poo, strong smells, or unwashed nappies will result in some or all of your deposit being retained by us for the purpose of extra laundering/ nappy replacement.

If one or more nappies are not returned or are damaged due to ill treatment, you will be charged the full retail value for replacement

If the deposit is not enough to cover damage or missing items, you will be sent an invoice which must be paid within one week. 

In the event that you abscond with the kit, you will be reported to the police and the deposit will be used to lodge a claim against you in the Small Claims Court.

Liability

Cloth Nappy Nerds endeavours to offer support and guidance on the correct and effective use of the reusable nappies, however, you agree that Cloth Nappy Nerds cannot be held responsible for any loss, injury, or damage caused by any of the items we have loaned you, in the event that you do not follow our advice.

Cloth Nappy Nerds does not assume liability for any issues arising from the misuse of any hired nappies, or if the hired nappies offered are not suitable for your baby.

You also hereby agree that we are not responsible for any faulty product, due to the inclusion of used items in the kits.

Cloth Nappy Nerds does not guarantee or make claims of the efficacy, successfulness or otherwise of any particular brand or style of nappy or accessories, due to the extreme variability in shape and size of babies, as well as variability inherent in the process of using reusable nappies itself.
